Supporting UK fire safety requirements
FireIE supports organisations in meeting applicable UK fire safety requirements. It does
not guarantee compliance, which remains the responsibility of the Responsible Person or
duty holder.

Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (legislation): the main fire
safety law for non-domestic premises and the common parts of multi-occupied residential
buildings in England and Wales. Scotland and Northern Ireland have separate
legislation.

Building Safety Act 2022 (legislation): among other duties, requires
golden thread information to be kept for higher-risk buildings in England. FireIE's
